To get ahead in the competition, the company differentiates itself by providing quality solutions using CAD and is ISO 9000:2015 certified.
Bantek Engineering was selected to participate in the 2020 DCC Business Accelerator programme, which was developed to drive sustainable and value-adding transformation initiatives that both assist and promote the growth and development of local SMEs. Training capacity building was afforded to businesses, focusing on business innovation, strategy, communication, and pitching for commercial opportunity to prospective customers.
Following the successful pitch in the dragons den, the DCC teamed up Bandla Tikayo, Managing Director of Bantek Engineering, with an experienced industry expert to develop a comprehensive business plan and map out a clearly defined growth plan.
Through an ongoing partnership with the two main sponsors, Ferro Polymers and NCS Resins, the DCC is proud to award Bantek Engineering with a preferential loan of R500 000. With this funding, the company plans to unlock their growth through insourcing certain activities, installing a range of workshop machines, and recruiting key staff to support this growth.
The company’s entrepreneurial spirit and its strict adherence to sound business practices will enable it to continue to enjoy its growth path as a leading and challenging innovator and emerging leader for many years to come.
About DCC Business Accelerator Programme
The Durban Chemicals Cluster launched its Business Accelerator Programme in 2018. The programme was developed to support firms to use their B-BBEE SED and ESD spend meaningfully and on projects that speak to their company core values and brands. Small and developing businesses require access to finance to grow and achieve their potential. The programme aims to support Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs achieve their potential by providing them with access to finance that they would normally not have available to them through traditional financing institutions.
